Currently Accepting New Clients

Hi! My name is Caitlin Wood, and I am a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern. I graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology as well as Human Development and Family Science. I also received my Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University.

I have experience working with children, adults, and families. Before coming to The Therapy Room, I worked within the child welfare sector, on crisis hotlines, and in psychology research. I currently provide therapy to adolescents, young adults, and couples. I specialize in supporting clients through anxiety, stress, relationship issues, life transitions, self-esteem, and personal growth. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to support clients in healing from traumatic or distressing experiences. I aim to use a holistic person-centered approach that focuses on personal strengths and resilience. I believe therapy should be a non-judgemental safe space that fosters trust, acceptance, understanding, and open communication.
